PAR-3 courses needed!!!
2011-03-05
Just got it sorted with Valderrama for a few days next week. I'm going back to HEAVEN. I would rather have one day at Valderrama than 5 days at another course.
If I was a coach for juniors I would only play tough courses with my players. Never an easy one. If you shoot under par at Valderrama every time, you will be top 10 in the world. That's not the case with many courses.
By the way! Every golf club who wants good players should have a good par-3 course. It's probably cheaper than having a huge machine in every clubhouse to register your score and calculating your new handicap. Or having a stupidly tough and annoying system to become a golfer in countries like Sweden. Those things, cost a lot of money. A par-3 course can't be that expensive. Skip all the booring stuff about golf and focus on having fun on the actual golf course.
At our golf high school we easily played on round every day on the par-3 course. We loved hitting wedges. The more wedges you hit, the more you love it because you will probably hit them pretty good.
Deep talk. I feel like a retired besser-wisser who is mad about everything. Or maybe I start thinking about these things because I will meet up a high school soon to try to help them with their games. Maybe they can teach me something!

Loving this Sam's Putt Lab thing. Got a few perfects. I like it when you have the sound on and you get a guy telling you if you are closed or open or inside or outside and how many degrees. I was about to kill the machine a few times but when the voice says "PERFECT" it all makes up for it...YES.
Viktor Gustavsson is helping me out. He actually knows his stuff...:)
Black lines are good and square. RED and BLUE lines are CRAP. I don't like them. They feel like "Hey guys! I'm taking a penalty drop here."

Still going here in the south of France. Golfing is good. Great! We've had so much fun on the driving range. Having competitions and hitting millions of balls. I used to do that all the time but lately, I've been so structured. Hate being structured. Screw that. That ruins all the fun. Golf is fun. Hitting a certain amount of balls to a certain target and a certain bla bla bla. Booring. I enjoy it more now. Hitting 10 different shapes and heights with a 6 iron. A low, a high, a fast, a slow, a slice. Anything. That's what I need to work on. Lately, I haven't been able to hit the shot I'm looking for. A fade can turn into a draw. No good:)

Good weather in Monaco..jpg&width=800&height=533)
Still rubber left from last year's Grand Prix. Missing it this year. Wentworth instead. Who's scheduling these things;)
Staying at a hotel somewhere close to Terre Blanche. Ears are still too bad to go home. Closer to the course. But, feels weird not staying at home. Eh. Some more hotel nights. I'm collecting...;) This hotel is the coolest ever. The house it's in is from the 17th century. It's sounds older saying it's from the 1600's. It's seriously old. And crocket...No straight lines here...
