Cars
2011-01-06
Three cars in Monaco. Three different owners.
Very lucky person nr. 1.
Very lucky person nr. 2.
And this is mine. There was a parking spot available very close to where I live. Felt so lucky when I found it. Not so lucky when I came out in the morning. Understand now why it's always available...

Rain and cold into the soul
2011-01-05
5 degrees and drizzling rain here on the coast. Terre Blanche turned into a dark lonely place and it felt nice leaving it. I usually don't like leaving golf courses. Have never really understood the motivation factor when people say; "if you finish this exercise you can go home". Anyway, after 7 holes and tons of small contests around the greens today we gave up.
Thought of one thing today- It's more important that the contest or exercise is fun than that the exercise is great but booring. If it's fun, it's more likely that we do it often. If it's booring we will probably don't do it, even if it's great.
Enough deep talk. Sleep. Or maybe there is time for one more coffee. It's so much fun making coffee. Drinking it is not the big thing.

New and old
2011-01-04
Sitting here in my apartment eating DARK chocolate, drinking COFFEE from my newly bought coffee machine and listening to ELVIS. I'm 65 years old. Wow!
Another normal day here in Monaco. Started early with a long drive to Terre Blanche. There are two somewhat ok radio stations; "Monaco Radio" and "Riviera Radio". Both channels are similar. They deliver what you are expecting- a very few new hits mixed in between very old songs, old songs and an update of what the current price is for "Beluga Caviar" and where the best parties are on the Riviera at the moment. Those are the two things worth knowing. Nothing more.
Terre Blanche is impressing me more and more. Just found a putting tool called "Zenio". It's a cheaper and more portable version of "Sam's Puttlab". I didn't like it at all but I guess it serves a purpose. I love Sam's though.
Interval training up stairs as well. Felt tons better than yesterday. Must have been the fruits. I want to run faster at 100 and 200 meters now. Would be fun to see what you can do with just a little bit of training.
Here is a picture of how happy and proud I am with my coffee machine:.jpg&width=800&height=1066)

The gym where anything can happen
2011-01-03
Going to the gym in Monaco is always interesting. There are many gyms down here, all varying in class and functionality. The one I go to is definitely the one with most testosterone. Or the least. It's hard to say. All the guys weigh over hundred kilos with no excess fat, but none of them wear shorts longer than a pair of short boxers. I have now gotten over it, but it's fun to see the reaction of new people joining the gym. It's a different world. The weirdest thing is when two of the hundred-plus guys are pushing away their 50 kilos-plus dumbbells to say hello to each other by kissing each other's cheeks.
Enough with that. I feel like puking.
I personally had the worst gym session and decided to blame it on my food intake. So, I got some healthier snack than normal..jpg&width=800&height=600)
This is where I spend my mornings. The temperature is more cooperating in the afternoon so we manage to play a little or have a shortgame contest.

Monday morning
2011-01-03 The day is looking promising..jpg&width=800&height=533)
Fell in love with "Trackman" yesterday. Amazing thing. Do not understand the technology but it seems like it calculates correct. Spin, angle of attack, face angle, launch, speed, distance, straightness. Whatever you like.
