8th
2010-12-19
Very very happy now! Tied 8th finish. I wasn't even thinking about playing here a week ago. When I couldn't find a place to practice this week, I decided to come down to play. And now, I'm very happy I did. Playing in this tournament was so much better for my golf than practicing for a week somewhere.
Rounds of 72-69-69-67 for -11. Winner was at -14. Not to far up.
Played better than I have all week. Still a bit strange to putt on bermuda grainy greens. They are pure but bermuda is tough to read. Going to improve my putting though. Then putting everywhere will get easier.
A Swedish guy came yesterday with new very good ping-pong paddles. Thanks. The next three days are saved before Christmas.
Thanks to Black Mountain staff who took care of me down here!!! I love this place!
Next time maybe...

No bogeys;)
2010-12-17
No bogeys today! Maybe first time this year:) Game was better but not close enough with the irons. Resulted in a 69, -3, for a tied 29th position going into the weekend here at Black Mountain Masters in Thailand.
Pelle Edberg is looking stronger than ever and has developed a little bit of a hockey ass. Well done Pelle! He beats all of us in the gym now...not fun Pelle.
We found a ping-pong table. Great news.
Prime Restaurant in Hua-Hin serves Toast Skagen. Great news.
Sleep now and a big hunting weekend is coming up. I like weekends.

Tiger
2010-12-17
Felt pretty much like imagined it. A bit rusty. I have practiced a lot and played a few rounds but it's still not like tournament golf. Level par, 72, puts me in the middle of the field but have three more rounds to climb up with. It's kind of a weird week practicing wise. I'm stil trying to improve the swing for next season but decided to play this event to get good tournament practice as well. So, two hours on the range grinding on technique right after is not what I usually do at a tournament but it's the case this week. The swing is improving little by little.
My shortgame work I did in Dubai last week was handy yesterday. Shortgame is seriously crucial to play well. I know you all know that, but I need to write it down for my own sake;)
Had a pretty nice afternoon....jpg&width=800&height=533)

Nervous
2010-12-15
Feeling nervous for tomorrow. It was a while since I played in a tournament. My game right now is pretty unpredictable. It can be a good one tomorrow, but I'm not totally confident. That's the nature of golf I think. Or, maybe it's just me. Anyway. It's super hot here. Although, the more we play over here in Asiamthe more you get used to the heat. I thought they were kidding first time I went to Malaysia- it felt like stepping into a sauna. Not kidding.
Tee-time at 7.20.
I don't think I've ever seen a nicer manicured course in my life. It looks like a huge Japanese garden with a golf course in it. And it's a good golf course. We've always played it with very easy pin positions. That will not happen in the next four days. It will be pretty interesting where they will put the pins. It can be difficult.
Hua Hin is next door. It's a cool, dirty, clean, smelly, awesome, weird town. Very different from Europe. It feels like everything is possible here. There are no real rules what you can sell or buy. Just go ahead..jpg&width=800&height=533)

Fun to be in Asia. The more I travel, the more I love travelling. The world is a fun place.
Ok.
