Caddying
2010-11-30
So, tried to avoid the cold and wet Sweden but flew down to, what feels like, an even colder and shitty wet Spain. Alicante is supposed to be a nice place but it's kind of the wrong time of the year for this place.
We are here becasue it's the first stage of the Ladies European Tour School and I'm trying to caddy for my girlfriend. It's tougher than I thought to caddy so my hat off to Pontus (my caddie)! You are doing a great job and forgive me if I'm a pain in the ass;)
We are now eating and trying to load up on energy for tomorrow. Two more days!
It's weird and really enjoyable to be on the other side of the shots for a change. But I don't think I'm a good caddie though. I can't keep my mouth shut;) That's the key to good caddying, knowing when to speak up and knowing when to be quite.
Today when walking to the first tee, guess who we met, Martin Kaymer who just finished down in Dubai capturing the whole f#king Race to Dubai rankings, and here he was helping his girl out. He's funny!
Me and Kaymer had a bet going into the the 2008 season who bought the best performing sports car. He won! I still haven't bought a sports car. Never at one place more than a week at a time so I don't feel the real need for it...thinking about buying another camera lens instead...
Anyway, two more days here then it's time for my winter practice to start!!! Can't wait. Caddying is the best way to get motivated again...I want to play. I keep forgetting giving the club away...
The weather started out good. Then it went bad!
This is day 1:
And this is day 2:
Looks a bit like the first day. Never been so cold.
My hands up for caddies who are good. I suck but I'm gonna try two more days;)
Good night!

Done

Another good session with Pierre at the very inspiring and unique place Bosön Sport Centre.
After bailing out on 200 meter runs again, Pierre gave me another funky exercise...
Hang cleans from these boxes so I can't use any momentum...really tough actually. I already hate this exercise..jpg&width=800&height=533)
This might be the only one I actually got up..jpg&width=800&height=533)
Mr. Vaktmästare from the past..jpg&width=800&height=533)
This guy will spend a few more hours in here..jpg&width=800&height=533)
Fail...again..jpg&width=800&height=533)
Screw the gym and screw the cold, I'm heading to Alicante;)
See you there!

Golfpunkten
2010-11-24 Another great day at "GOLFPUNKTEN" golf training center in Åkersberega outside Stockholm. A whole day went by pretty fast! A few hours of short game on the indoor pitch and chipping green and putting green and then a few hours hitting balls in the big tent.
The improvements me and Darren are working on is coming along pretty fast and it actually helps being inside where I can only focus on the swing and not being to concern about the target.
Here are some pics from today:.jpg&width=800&height=1200)
Sleep well!

200 meters of pain
2010-11-23 Spent the morning at "Bosön" sports center outside Stockholm. I love coming here just to watch the track and field athletes train.
Pierre used to work out here with the Olympic athletes. Now he and I had a mission to accomplish:
My goal: Run 200 meters 10 times with 1 minute rest in between.
What I actually did: Ran 200 meters 3 times with 3 minutes rest in between.
Maybe not great but I managed to run the three 200 meters laps all under 30 seconds so it was a good session after all.
This session took about 10 minutes and it took me 1 hour to get here. Same for Pierre. Felt like a waste of time and energy but we at least know what my capacity is and can move forward from here...

Indoor
2010-11-22
My training for next year started by ruining my body totally in Hong Kong making physical tests under the critical eye of my physio Pierre Johansson. Now, I can't really sit down or get up without moaning like an old man.
The golf training started today in this building:
Then I heard that a bunch of buddies were practicing indoors at another golf centre. Had to go over and catch up and hit some more balls. It's great to see all the Swedish pros practicing their asses off already to prepare for next year. My high school roomate Andreas Hogberg (andreashogberg.com) hits for 7 hours a day in there. He will be ready when he gets back on grass.
Planning and planning for me now. Have to come up with the best possible way to get better over the winter.
