  Tennis lesson

  2010-09-13 Early morning flight to Vienna:
  
  
  
  Just got to the Diamond Golf Club outside Vienna, Austria. Sweet gulasch soup is served!!!
  
  I tried to make the most out of the weekend. First a ton of short game practice. Then trying to get some good results on the rowing machine. 1,43 and 1,42 over two times 500 meter rowing. Got Robin Söderling's results and saw that he does five times 500 meters with all intervals under 1,30. SICK! I'm moving under 1,40 this week I hope. 
  
  After watching a lot of US Open tennis I wanted to see just how good those guys are and we found a great tennis teacher named Melvyn op der Heijde. He was ranked 200th in the world a few years ago. I had no chance at returning any of his shots but I got a good training session and I'm feeling better now when trying to beat the guys at home. 
  
  
  
  
  An early morning trip to get here and then we were heading out to the middle of the bush to find this place. Finally here. Really excited for this week. I have time to prepare in the way we prepared for the WGC at Firestone. 18 holes monday with bunch of short game around the greens, 9 on tuesday plus practice and 18 holes Pro-Am on wednesday.
  
  ALSO, I'm rooming with my old high-school roommate Andreas Högberg! So happy he got in this week. He is on Challenge Tour and he is a really good guy.

  Friday night hangout

  Played good today but got nothing going and started pushing for birdies and ended up short for further action here in Amsterdam. 71-71 for two over. Cut was par. 
  
  It's been a tough year so far but I've learnt a lot. I have a clearer picture now on what I need to do to get to where I want. I have filtered it all down to a few good exercises and I'm gonna put more emphasis on training and spending more time on the golf course. There is no other way to do it I think.
  
  That's why I'm gonna stay here this weekend and train my ass off to get better. I'm too pissed of now to go home and spend unnecessary hours traveling back and forth when I can practice instead.
  
  Found this gym 5 minute walk from the hotel...hello!!!

  Betting betting

  Sitting here after a day in the rain and watching Formula 1 youtube clips...
  
  ...Is there anybody that knows if you can be a passanger in an old F1 car or something like it? Just a seriously fast car with a seriously good driver. And a passanger seat. That's all I need:). 
  
  This is the view we had most of the day:)
  
  
   
  Me and Pontus played a little betting game today:
  
  - 5 euros to me if I hit the fairway and 5 to him if I missed
  - 5 euros to him for a bogey and 5 to me for a birdie
  - 5 euros to me for an up-and-down, 5 euros to him if I don't get up-and-down
  
  I ended up winning 5 and shot 1 under and it was a pretty fun way to bet. I think a caddie needs something to get excited about during a Pro-Am. 
  
  We've betted all week and he's a lot up on me so that fiver didn't help me much.
  
  
  
  It's a nice course though.

  Hilversum, Holland

  Good night from a rainy, foggy, misty, damp, but still nice Holland. Hilversum Golf Club is a really old and a really good course. Old style like a Sunningdale or a Wentworth. Super long holes combined with shorter trickier ones! Today it looked like the end of the world. Foggy and misty but still fun to play. This course is supposed to play hard and fast running but at the moment it's pretty much the opposite. 
  
  Saw Kaymer today. Nice to see him back in Europe. He'd had a sweet time off since winning the US PGA he said. Jeez he's good. Ryder Cupping it in a few weeks. 
  
  Pontus and I keep betting around the short game area. Starting to love shortgame practice. That's key:)
