Egg Cake
2010-03-11 Dinner/Just get some food down in the stomach
Tried to come up with something new to cook today and this is a totally new thing for me. Instead of making eggs, salmon, parma ham and beef seperately and eat, I mixed them together. A new dish!
I know it's really complicated:) First line up the items...
Then chop them up...
Fry the steak and ham, didn't feel like frying smoked salmon. Maybe it's good but have a feeling it's not. Make the eggs in a preferrably big pan to fit all the other ingredients on top of the eggs but if I had a bigger pan I wouldn't be able to fit in my apartment.
Put all the other stuff on top and try to fold and make it into an omellette. Not easy whit a small pan so made a little egg-cake instead with topping.
Yummy...NOT! But as a friend of mine said in high-school; "It's gonna mix in the stomach anyway". True! Enough to fill me up and get ready for workout nr 2 for today.

Good weather for once
2010-03-11 Nice weather here in Monaco today and just spoke to the Terre Blanche Golf Club and the courses are open and that's great news. Going out there tomorrow and see if my finger holds up. If not, at least I can do some putting and chipping. I love going up to Terre Blanche, it's such a sweet course and it's absolutely calm and quiet.
Monte-Carlo Casino at night.
For the first time in the last two weeks I've been here the sun came out and it made it a lot warmer.
Only two months until Grand Prix down here and they remove this whole thing you can see in the picture to make room for all the cars. Can't wait for that week!
Here is the tunnel where the Formula 1 cars come out of before going back to the marina. The noise must be awesome.
Time to get my body in shape for a cruel workout. "Bjarne's Riis cookie" is one of the exercises that's on the schedule and you do this one on and exercise bike. You increase your resistance on the bike every minute for four minutes while keeping your speed at 80 reps per minute. After four minutes you go back to the lightest level and start all over again. You can repeat the whole interval 4-6 times in one session. This exercise will give you the worst pain in your legs ever...I personally hate this exercise but it was a great one to do when I had my knee injured and it's great to get your legs overall strong and good endurance wise.
Back soon!

Food!
2010-03-10 Still trying to stay off the bad foods. It's tough since I love sweet stuff. Last March I weighed 81 kg (180 Lb) and decided to shave some unnecessary weight off and didn't eat a carb except for fruit for 3 months. Went down to 74 kg (164 Lb). That was a great feeling. After 3 months I wasn't craving for sugar anymore. Now, I'm at 77 kg and hopefully those 3 kg is muscles. Trying very hard to eat right and I must say that this is my savior when it comes to what to drink instead of Coke or anything else with a lot of sugar....jpg)
Feels fresh:)
Just took a pic of what I usually eat before and after a gym session. Trying to manage a protein bar and a sugar free Red Bull or a coffe before working out and a protein shake after. It makes a huge different to get quick energy before and the experts say you have to stuff yourself with protein within 30 minutes after a workout. If you eat later it doesn't give you much. The body is craving for fuel after a workout and if you don't give it some it will burn muscle mass among other things.
Sounding like an expert here, I've just read some about this stuff and Pierre has told me a little.
Monaco is really quiet still this time of the year and the weather is colder than ever. 6 degrees still and my finger is feeling better so I want to go play soon. Tournament in Marocco next week and I want to be prepared. Bad finger+cold weather is not a good combo! Indoor drills now all evening.

Welcome to the new blog!
2010-03-09 New blog!!! Feels good!!! You guys like it? The pics are bigger which I think is the most important thing. We are working on the website but can't come up with something that's spot on yet. Soon I hope!
Finger is still bad, needs a week of rest it looks like. But, as the wise people say: "something good always comes out of something bad". After having that session with my swing coach last week, I need to do a lot of indoor drills anyway so it might work out perfectly. I can still putt, let's just hope there are courses open in this weather.
Been reading Andre Agassi's autobiography, "Open" and it's a really interesting book to read. He is very honest and direct when describing his tennis career and life. He says that he's always hated tennis, he only played because his dad had a plan to make Andre the best tennis player in the world. His dad forced him to play. That would suck big time. I have never been forced to play, more the opposite. My parents always wonder if I wanted to do something else as well. Don't you want to hang out and swim with the other kids they asked me in the summers. Never had time. I had too much fun on the course and I had friends who also played who thought the same way. But my parents has always supported me and driven me around Sweden when playing and competing as a junior. They still support me but they don't fly around with me:)
I got enough new balls to play with though this week if my finger heals quicker than expected. Sorry, for showing you this picture below. I guess a lot of you want to get free balls as well. But, I can say that there was one single occasion in my early golfing days (16 years old) where I understood that I need to work hard to get free stuff.
We were playing a national junior tournament in Karlskoga, Sweden. After the practice round me and my parents were stuffing my golf bag in the trunk of the car as we saw the Swedish Junior National Team gathered around a Volvo stationwagon. The trunk of the Volvo was full of stacked dozens of Titleist Balata balls and hundreds of gloves. Each of the national team players received their quota of balls and gloves and left the car. I have never been so jealous in my life. I couldn't utter a word and my mom and dad just looked at each other thinking it would be nice to not have to pay 50 Euros a' dozen for balls. That moment made me work harder back then and I guessed I just kept going. It's all about inspiration...
I think I broke my own sleeping record on my last flight. 8 hours from Miami to London and I didn't stay awake more than a minute. Totally exhausted after a tough training week.
Time to get some food. Trying to stick to the non-carbohydrate diet this week as well. It's hard to find if you want something quick. Gotta plan a little more ahead. It's worth it tough, I feel like I've more energy when I don't eat carbs.

Moving on...
2010-03-08 Seriously!!!??? Don't ever put your finger in between the door and the door post. No good!.jpg)
The good news is that it's not so bad and that this fantastic training week was over anyway. The bad news is that there will be no training for at least 3 days. No good!!! Maybe putting and running until it fully heals...
This week has been great. A lot of everything: golf, gym, sleep, healthy food and fun people. All you need!
I've been working on getting my website ready and have for now decided on creating a sweet blog at my website. I will later alter the site and make it more as a complete website. The blog is one of the most important things I think though and it seems like you guys like it. I will move this blog next week over to alexnoren.com. I've really enjoyed blogging here at Aftonbladet and thanks to all the guys at the newspaper and it's website for your help and support. The reason I move over is that I want to get all stuff at one place now, specially when trying to create a website and expanding with a website for the junior tournament Alex Noren Junior Open and hopefully some other things I'm trying to do.
I'm thankful for having had the opportunity to blog here though. It's been fun! I will keep blogging here a few more days until I move it.
Driving down with Peter Hanson to Miami tomorrow. He's going to play Doral and I will fly out to Monaco. I wish I would've qualified for that tournament but there are more to come. As my finger feels now, I wouldn't have done too well anyway...
Never give up...Ever.
See you in one of the smallest countries in the world.
